Over thirty years ago, while living in New York City, Aubrey began experimenting with two natural formulations, an all-herbal bath oil and a protein-based hair conditioner. Using skills he learned from his mother, an herbalist who made natural products for her family with her own home-grown herbs, Aubrey fine-tuned his new formulas and began trying them out in Manhattan hair salons and health food stores to excellent reviews.
In 1969 he founded Aubrey Natural Labs, the company that later became Aubrey Organics®. His premise was a simple one to create completely natural hair and skin care products free of synthetics and petrochemicals, products good for both the body and the earth. Today Aubrey Organics® is sold by thousands of natural product retailers throughout the U.S. and the world, and Aubrey's pioneering company remains one of the most respected and reliable manufacturers of natural bodycare products in the industry. Aubrey has written three books on natural cosmetics: Natural Organic Hair and Skin Care (Organica Press), now in its sixth reprint, What's in Your Cosmetics (Odonian Press), and The Take Charge Beauty Book (Organica Press), co-written with Susan Hussey. Aubrey is also the founder and publisher of Organica Quarterly, an arts and environmental magazine distributed through independent bookstores and health food stores nationwide.
A Natural Tradition For Over 30 Years
All Aubrey Organics® products are completely natural, made with herbals, essential oils and natural vitamins. No synthetic chemicals of any kind are ever found in any of our formulas. We use liquid coconut oil in our soaps and shampoos and coconut fatty acids and essential fatty acids in our creams and lotions, and a natural preservative of citrus seed and vitamins A, C and E. All of our formulas are still formulated by Aubrey Hampton, and hand-crafted in small batches in our Tampa, FL, manufacturing plant. To date, we offer more than 140 hair, skin and bodycare products that carry the Aubrey Organics® guarantee: 100% natural and never tested on animals.

AUBREY ORGANICS® has always been natural, and now we're being certified organic*. This means that first our factory, where we make all AUBREY ORGANICS® products (except our soap bars, which are made in France) was inspected and certified as a manufacturing facility where organic ingredients can be handled, well...organically. Now we're having all AUBREY ORGANICS® ingredients certified one by one. Since we use herbals from around the world, hundreds and hundreds of them, this could take quite a while, but we're committed to organic certification because we believe it's the best way to tell you, our customers, just how natural we are. When Aubrey Hampton first mixed ground ginger, peppermint and eucalyptus leaf into coconut oil in 1967, little did he dream that almost 30 years later he'd be CEO of a bodycare company — AUBREY ORGANICS® — with happy customers around the globe. No Warehouses
Every AUBREY ORGANICS®product is hand-crafted in small batches. The products you order today were probably made just a few weeks ago, although Aubrey's natural citrus seed extract preservative protects the product shelf life up to 36 months. We ship our products daily, straight from our manufacturing plant to you.
Green From The Outside In
At AUBREY ORGANICS®we don't believe in throwing money away-and that's what you do every time you toss an empty bottle or box into the trash. That's why we keep our packaging simple-green and white bottles made of recyclable plastic and boxes made from recyclable cardboard. Plus all our product literature is printed on recycled paper.
